Biblical Money: Course Summary

Course Description: Biblical Money is not primarily about budgeting and personal finances — a related and important topic that is ably covered elsewhere. Rather, it aims to tackle crucial questions that our sons and daughters must answer if they are to navigate adult life in the 2020s and beyond.

These questions include: What are the origins of money, and why does this matter?
Are some kinds of money better than others?
Why do the dollar bills I carry have any value?
What exactly is inflation, what are its causes, and how does it impact me?
What does the Bible say about interest and usury, and how does it apply to me?
Is the Federal Reserve a biblical institution, or is it a cause of America’s financial problems? How should a follower of Jesus Christ think about these issues, and how should we respond to lies that contradict God’s word?

Target audience: This course is intended for high school students (ages 14-18) who desire to understand what the Bible says about money. There is nothing in the content that would make it inappropriate for younger children.

Duration: The course consists of ten video lessons of approximately 25 minutes each, plus a 120-page Student Workbook that contains exercises, review and discussion questions, a final test, over 100 Scripture passages, and key reference documents.
